I could make a little video to demonstrate these weird behaviors. I'd use Spotify if its music selection were any good. But that doesn't mean much since I failed the listening test of the difference between 128 MP3, 320 and lossless. I'm curious to know what your impression was of the sound quality.

If you time the gaps between songs in normal album playback, you will find it's no longer than four seconds in my case. You may have a point on gapless playback but many people aren't too bothered with that fact. Well, that's not the impression I expected but all cases are different. And the Songbird Control app gets confused when I do. That works but then I can't compose a playlist or search across services. I can't find any way to play from my MinimServer except by using a different app. While it plays from Amazon Music, it displays cover art and metadata (artist, album, song title) from something else.Ĥ. The gap between we were listening to this version of JCS and the hap between Trial and Superstar was 5 to 10 seconds. The gaps are so long that I end up saying out loud, "What the fudge, it's quit, why?" Then I go to pick up my phone and then it starts the next track. It's not just incapable of gap-less playback. I tried it for my Synology NAS, but also on a Windows 10 Home edition laptop. The sad news is that the default profile has the same problem for me, in my environment. This makes it easy to experiment with different settings without losing the settings you have currently. You can do this to change between any number of profiles with different settings. To restore the settings from your usual profile, click Select from the Profiles tab and select the name of your usual profile. With changing the music folder I mean I navigate to an other folder using MinimServer's, That's within the contentDir context. You can also check the MinimServer log for warning messages about incorrect folder permissions. I suspect this is the reason why you are seeing some folders as empty. You might need to change the permissions of your music folders to give read permission to the "administrators" group to make things work correctly. On DSM 7, MinimServer is not able to run with root privilege. If you navigate to the other folder using MinimServer's (not the same as the LUMIN app's folder view), no rescan or reload should be needed.
